| Kashmir Police arrests 9 militants’ sympathizers | | |
Srinagar April 7 Jammu and Kashmir Police has claimed to have arrested nine persons working as Over Ground Workers with various militants outfit in Pulwama district of South Kashmir, here today.
An official spokesman told News Agency of Kashmir that police and security forces in a joint operation arrested these OGWs from different places in Pulwama district. About 5 Kgs deadly RDX and some incriminating documents were recovered from their possession.
Eight suspects were arrested from an orchard at village Nadigam under the jurisdiction of police station Shopian. They have been identified as Khursheed Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Ahsan of Dachoo, Gowhar Ahmad Naikoo son of Gh. Mohd of Memendar Shopian, Mukhtar Ahmad Mir son of Mushtaq Ahmad of Reshnagri Shopian, Ashiq Hussain Bhat son of Gh. Mohd of Sarsunoo Shopian , Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat son of Ab. Gani of Check Choulan Shopian, Javid Ahmad Shah son of Gh. Mohi-ud-din of Sarsunoo Shopian , Sayar Ahmad Lone son of Gh. Mohd of Aloora Shopian and Gulzar Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Herman Shopian. Five Kgs of RDX and some incriminating documents have been recovered from their possession.
Sources added that one more OGW, Sajad Ahmad Mir S/o Manzoor Ahmad, was arrested from Khelan. Two hand grenades, three I-Cards, one Mobile and Indian currency Rs 6000 have been recovered from his possession.
