| Kouser demands alternate Highway to Kashmir via Gulabgarh | | |
JAMMU, April 7
Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Zonal President Mahore, Mumtaz Kouser, has said that the alternate Highway via Gulabgarh can end the miseries of the people of the State, especially the people of Kashmir, who suffer due to the blockade of Jammu –Srinagar National Highway.
In a statement issued here today, Kouser said that the alternative Highway via Reasi, Mahore, Angralla, Gulabgarh to Nandi Marg , to Kashmir is more feasible and safe than the present Jammu Srinagar Highway. ‘Due to the blockade of Jammu- Srinagar Highway, the people of the State, especially people of Kashmir, are suffering, and recently the people at Kashmir suffered a lot due to the unavailability for essential commodities due to the blockage of highway near Panthihal
She said that due to the construction of the alternate highway, the people of the far-flung areas of Tehsil Gool Gulabgarh will get benefited as they can start their own business.
She urged upon the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to take up the matter with New Delhi so that the funds for the alternate highway should be released at earliest.
