| Srinagar, June 23: Major reshuffle in civil and police administration is likely to take place when the state cabinet would meet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in the summer capital of the state on Saturday. Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has summoned the state cabinet meeting for tomorrow at 4 pm in Srinagar. Highly placed sources told NAK that a memo issued to ministers for tomorrow’s meeting include major transfers at the higher level of civil administration and police including filling of the vacant posts of 8 commissioner secretaries. They further said that some transfers are likely to be affected in police as well for ensuring fair investigation into two more cases of sex racket handed over to CBI as per the court orders The court has on Wednesday asked CBI investigate cases registered at Magam and Sheed Gunj Thanas in 2004 maintaining that the present case has apparent links with these cases. The government had made some transfers in police earlier also, when the case involving victim Yasmeena and Kingpin Sabeena was handed over to premier Investigating Agency. |
