Expressing grave concern over greater number of individuals turning to drug addiction, alcoholism and gambling, Baba Swarn Jeet Singh has asked the youth to shun all these evils and listen to their inner conscious, which always warns one from doing wrong. ‘Such acts, which are guided by souls, are bound to bear fruits and joy’, he added
Addressing a mammoth gathering at Fazilka, Baba Ji said that both good and evil are inherent in us and it is up to an individual to bring out that side of one’s personality which is for the greater goal.
Shocked over Nithari killings, Baba Ji said that man has become restless and merciless and prayed that good sense may prevail in the minds of people indulging in bloodshed, lootings and killings. ‘All those who have deviated from the right path can still recover their long forgotten spiritual path, if they shun their evil acts and recite name of ‘God’ as divine mercy shines equally on all individuals, he observed.
‘Saying that the time demands that the youth of today should have scientific temper and spiritual disposition’, he said and added that real education is that which helps the individual to rise up against the struggles of life and bring out their inner strength of character. He said one of the great ironies of today is the increasing number of dowry deaths and female infanticides and observed that ‘we still feel shy to talk and discuss about the diseases like AIDS, which is slowly and steadily griping the whole society.
