| J&K to have next Hindu CM, declares Khajuria | | | JAMMU APRIL-07 Declaring that Bharatiya Janta Party would give Jammu and Kashmir the first Hindu Chief Minister, Ashok Khajuria, President State Unit of the party today predicted to win over 20-25 seats in the Assembly elections due next year. Addressing a massive rally organized by BJP, Bisnah Mandal, today, Khajuria said that the Party has succeeded in elections in different states like Karnataka, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Bihar, MP and Rajasthan and hoped that this trend would be repeated in Jammu and Kashmir as well. He expressed confidence that people of the State, especially from Jammu region, would vote in favour of the party in the next Assembly elections. Accusing the coalition government of its failure on all fronts, the BJP President said that parties like PDP, NC, and Congress are Kashmir centric and have failed to watch the interests of Jammu region, in spite of the fact that the Chief Minister is from Jammu region. Addressing the gathering, former Governor Babu Parmanand appealed the government to adopt such policies that could remove discrimination in all the three regions of the state. Former Party President Daya Krishan Kotwal, in his address, said that government has failed to contain militancy and alleged that people in hilly areas are harassed by registration of false and fabricated cases especially against those who stand for integrity and unity of the state. Among others who spoke on the occasion included Chander Parkash Ganga, state vice president, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLA, Ramesh Arora and Mohan Singh Chouhan
