JAMMU | APR 7 A massive protest demonstration was held today in the protest against the acute scarcity of drinking water in Jammu west constituency. Hundreds of Residents of Jawahar Nagar, Prem Nagar, New plot, Lakshmi Nagar and a large number of women, children and traders joined the protest demonstration held under the leader ship of Sunil Dimple, President, Bhartiya Janta Party, Labour Cell. Addressing the gathering, Sunil Dimple president, NJP Labour Cell at the New Plot, High Court road criticized the Govt. for increasing the power tariff. He warned that an agitation will be launched against the govt. if the hike was not taken back. Strongly criticizing the state collision Govt. led by Ghulam Nabi Azad for its complete failure on all fronts to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu and Kashmir state. The dharana was lifted after an appeal from D.C. Office, Tehsildar Jammu, Police Authorities, PHE Authorities. Prominent persons present were Baldev Thapa, Ishar Dass Sethi, Kamal Sharma, Vishal Dubey, Mr. Harbans Lal, S. Mangu Singh, Virender Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Ramesh Chander Sharma, Ajay Mahajan, Mohinder Dev Sharma, Bodh Raj Sharma, Sat Pal Mahajan, vipen Gupta, Mukesh Gupta, Ashok Khanna, Pooja Devi, Vidya Wanti and many others.
