Qasba asks Hort. officers to keep in touch with farmers

Director Horticulture, HS Qasba today reviewed the progress of Technology Mission programme and other development schemes under operation in Jammu division in a meeting held with all the Divisional/District level officers of the division here today.
The director directed all field officers to ensure wide publicity about the departmental schemes so that the poor farmers can avail the benefits of these schemes.
Qasba impressed upon officers to work in their respective jurisdictions more efficiency and create a close contact with the farming community and have interaction while making them aware various incentives being provided by the department for establishment of orchards. He stressed upon the officers to organize Farmers Awareness’ Camps and educate the farmers about the modern aspects of fruit cultivation.
He stressed upon the officers make “fruit sow” a success which is being organized on the eve of Jammu festival. It was decided in the meeting that Strawberry will be the main fruit to be displayed in the show besides Ber and Loquat.
