| Rana alleges conspiracy by administration | | | JAMMU | APR 7
MLA, Mendhar, Javed Rana, against whom allegation of fomenting communal trouble during the Mendar incident were leveled, today accused the district administration for maligning his image and spreading false propaganda.
While addressing press conference at Jammu today, he said that all this was created by police and civil administration as revenue authorities had made false and back dated entry of the state land and police had encouraged and supported land grabbers as it had received kickbacks.
He said that police swung into the action without understanding the reality and the situation. Rana asked the CM for setting up of enquiry commission to probe the whole episode and also the imposition of curfew, when peaceful after the dispute was amicably settled.
He also conveyed apprehensions of public and sense of insecurity amongst them as in the present set up civil as well as police administration from top to bottom is corrupt and police can go to any extent of lodging false FIRs and torture innocents.
Rana further added that there shall be mass agitation in Mendar area against the high handedness of police in killing and torturing of civilians. He said that people will migrate to safer areas for their security.
Rana appreciated the role of army, which intervened in the matter the dispute created by civil and police administration.
