| Court grants interim bail to two Asstt Supdts XII Examinations | | 12th Class Paper Scam | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 19 (JNF): Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu granted interim bail to Raman Kumar and Sneh Kumar Bhagat both deputed as Assistant Superintendents for 12th class Examination RS Pura.
After hearing Advocates Aseem Sawhney and Pranav Kohli for the accused persons, Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Puneet Gupta observed that the accused were in custody since long time and there is ample time of investigating agency to investigate the accused and granted interim bail to the both the accused till April 24, with an observation that they furnish bail bond and personal bond to the tune of Rs 50,000 each.
According to FIR No.49/2014 for the commission of offence falling under section 409/109/120-B RPC r/w section 5 of Unfair means Act stands registered against the petitioners. The prosecution allegations against the petitioners are that on 27/2/2014 in the late evening, an anonymous caller informed the Secretary J&K BOSE Jammu that a group of candidates in R S Pura area are writing the answer sheet of 12th class Annual Regular 2014 of Physics subject in advance one day ahead of the scheduled date of examination which was fixed for 28/2/2014 in connivance with the supervisory staff and it appeared that the question paper of above said question paper has been leaked.
On this information, Secretary BOSE taking immediate cognizance, on the next day constituted two teams comprising of two members each for checking the stock of examination stationery issued to the Superintendents appointed for conduct of above said examination at centre no.260,261, 263, 264, 265, 268,269, 271 and 273 constituted in R. S Pura and Miran Sahib. During the probe departmental teams on 28/2/2014 while scrutinizing the examination material/stationery under the custody of Assistant Superintendent for above said centers in the Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, R S Pura, found that six answer sheets bearing serial no.96251, 96252, 95253, 96254, 96255 and 96276 were already written apparently of physics paper which was scheduled to be held on 28/2/2014 and on the back side of such answer scripts some roll numbers of benefiting candidates were also written.
The said answer sheets in original have been recovered from Raman Kumar, Assistant Superintendent, Govt Girls HSS R S Pura centre no. 264 who managed to interchange his position with the actual Assistant Superintendent Sneh Bhagat, Lab Assistant, Govt Girls HSS R S Pura at his own illegally and un-authorizedly for some vested interests.
The recovered answer sheets were the same which were issued by the BOSE to the actual Assistant Superintendent of Centre No.264 Sneh Bhagat and the series of the said answer sheets coincides and tallied with the original numbers issued to the said centre.
The said six answer scripts along with copy of preliminary enquiry report of the team dated 1/3/2014 was enclosed with the complaint and request was made for registration of FIR against above aid two Assistant Superintendents of Centre No. 264 and 269 and other culprits including the candidates involved in the present case. |
