| Capsized combat vehicle recovered from Chenab | | |

A team of Army divers successfully recovered the Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV), capsized on the bank of River Chenab during a training programme, from the River Chenab after the hectic efforts of about three days.
According to reports, the ICV was capsized on the bank of River Chenab during a training programme on Apr 4, 2007. Thereafter, the Army divers and recovery vehicles were pressed into service to recover the capsized vehicle. This afternoon, after the hectic efforts of nearly three days the vehicle was recovered by the team. The incident was happened during the routine training activity and no loss of life was reported in it. The training will continue to be held in future also, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
