| Bovine smuggler held, 4 bovines recovered | | |

A bid to smuggle four bovines from Kathua to Punjab was foiled with the arrest of a bovine smuggler, who was carrying the animals in vehicle from Kathua to Punjab, this afternoon at Lakhanpur.
According to reports, Police during a naka at Lakhanpur, intercepted a vehicle bearing no PBOF-2271 and during the search recovered four bovines from the vehicles. The driver of the vehicle namely Biru Mohammed, son of Bashir Mohammed of Sunderchak, Kathua was immediately taken into custody by Police. A case has also been registered in this regard.
