| NC should abandon separatist line: Khajuria | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 11 BJP state president Ashok Khajuria today ridiculed National Conference (NC) President Omar Abdullah for his statement that the PDP speaks differently on self-rule at different places. He said PDP is only following in the footsteps of the NC, which right from 1947, has been resorting to triple speak in order to mislead the people of the State and the union government to promote its sectarian and essentially separatist and communal agenda. The BJP president said that in Kashmir the NC always says that its core constituency is the valley and it is for the withdrawal of the army and central laws from the state and in Jammu its speaks in a language that is aimed at giving a message that it shares the view of the people of Jammu as far as their association with India is concerned. He said that the NC and the PDP are the two sides of the same coin and that both are working in tandem to wreck the Indian state and ensure the exclusion of Jammu and Kashmir from the constitutional frame work of India. Taking NC to task for its opposition to the 1846 Treaty of Amritsar, under which Kashmir became part of the Jammu kingdom as also its opposition to the demand in Jammu and Ladakh for the state’s re-organization. He advised Omar Abdullah and others of his ilk to stop fourthwith his triple speak and abandon his separatist line based on communal considerations.
