| Court rejects bail of 2 Narco smugglers | | | JAMMU, Apr 26 (JNF) : Principal Sessions Judge Kathua Vinod Chatterji Koul today rejected the bail application of Rashpaul and Jatinder Singh who were involved in smuggling of medical narco. Principal Sessions Judge Kathua Vinod Chatterji Koul after hearing both sides observed that Rashpaul and Jatinder Singh are facing trial before this court along with ten other accused for offences punishable under section 8/21/22/27/29 NDPS. The allegations against applicants Rashpaul and Jatinder Singh are that 1800 capsules of parvanspas were recovered from them on 19.11.2012, when the police was on patrolling at about 3.30 PM. Court further observed that while most people use drugs to help, some choose to abuse them. This is what leads to crime, and it affects our kids and society. Illegal drug use has to stop. It hurts the society, it hurts us, and mainly, it hurts the user. Drug users feed of society's money, insurance, and taxes. Court further observed that If let this behaviour continue, the crime rate will shoot sky high. Drug use has increased over the years at an alarming rate and can be fatal to a person's health. Court further observed that the recovery from the accused falls within the scales of commercial quantity being more than 500 gms. With these observations Court rejected the bail application of both the accused persons. |
