| 25yr-old Vaishno Devi pilgrim from UP falls to death | | | Jammu, Apr 26 :A 25-year-old youth died yesterday when he accidentally slipped from the rooftop of a guest house in Katra town of mountainous Reasi district.
"Anil Kumar (25) resident of Meerut (UP) died when he slipped from the rooftop of a guest house in Katra while talking on his mobile phone," police sources here today said.
Police said the deceased alongwith his friends had gone to pay obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine and was staying in a guest house.
On finding him missing, his friends lodged a complaint with the police, who acted swiftly and found the body of the deceased on a rooftop adjoining the guest house. The post mortem has been conducted and the family members of the deceased have been informed," police said adding that a case has been registered and investigations started. |
