| DGP for providing better accommodation to Jawans | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 26: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad today said the state police department is upgrading its building infrastructure to provide better working facilities to its personnel. "Various office buildings have been constructed across the State to strengthen the building infrastructure under the modernization scheme," Mr Prasad said while commissioning the Battalion Headquarter Building at Miran Sahib on city outskirts. The DGP said that in view of the increasing manpower, the organization has been focusing to upgrade the facilities for its personnel as per the latest requirements, adding, "constructions are made keeping in mind the modern facilities and techniques of construction". Prasad appreciated the efforts of the officers and engineers of J&K Police Housing Corporation for ensuring quality material and time bound construction of the buildings and asked them to keep in mind latest requirements of the personnel before finalizing the plans of construction. "The constructions should be equipped with latest facilities of living and working including recreational facilities for the personnel, who are always found busy facing tough situations," he added. |
