| CCI- J delegates call on Addl Com CT | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26 : A delegation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) Jammu led by its President Y V Sharma called on Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes (AC-CT) in his Office Chamber and brought to his notice the problems being faced by the assesses in filing the VAT returns electronically. According to spokesperson of CCI Jammu, the delegation apprised the Additional Commissioner about the difficulties which they are facing due to late uploading of templates and changes in the templates on regular basis. "The main problem which the business community is facing while e-filing of returns is that there is no format installed for the purchases against Form-F. The purchases from Union Territory cannot be uploaded till this date, they added. They observed that a single page trader friendly return should be accepted and the businessmen should be given at least 60 days time for submitting e-filing of remaining return. "The laxity of 60 days time will also enable the Commercial Tax department to make their system foolproof and also enable the business community to acquaint themselves with the new system of e-filing, statement added. The Additional Commissioner assured the delegation to take up the matter with the concerned higher authorities at the earliest.
