Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 11 A meeting of J&K Excise Employees Welfare Union affiliated with J&K Joint Employees Federation (JEF) was held under the chairmanship of Birbal Sharma, president of union here today. During the discussion in the meeting it was unanimously decided by all the representatives that they will extend full support to J&K Joint Employees Federation as they have already been affiliated with the J&K Joint Employees Federation since long. In the meeting, various demands of the employees were also discussed and demanded that timely convening of DPCs twice in a year, transparent transfer policy, timely redressal of grievances of the employees, absorbing of ministerial cadre in executive cadre, release of 6% DA due to the employees, enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years, release of interim relief @ Rs. 2,000/- pm till implementation of 6th pay commission. Re-engagement of ousted Class IV employees of Excise and commercial Taxes departments as agreed by the Chief Minister, proper maintenance of GP Fund Accounts in respective Departments. President Sharma appealed to all the leaders of Associations/ Unions to come under the banner of J&K Joint Employees Federation for betterment of the employees and to achieve the goal. Among others, who participated in the meeting included M S Malik, Moti Lal Kaul, Onkar Nath Raina, Sardar Bibi, Nazir Ahmed, Asha Rana, Romesh Chander, Soi, Romesh Kumar Bhat, Vijay Kumar, Amarjit Singh, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, Som Nath Sharma, Kuljit Singh, Sandesh Sharma, Romesh Chander Sharma, Shello Ram Kundal, Sain Dass, Anjum Wazir, Surinder Kumar Sharma, Shub Kumar Sharma, Rakesh Koul and others.
