JAMMU, APRIL 12 According to the Sources 52 years old Justice Virender Singh, Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court transferred and as Judge of J&K High Court will take Oath on April 19, 2007 and will sit in the Division Bench with Chief Justice. Justice Virender Singh born on October 7, 1954 at Rohtak, Haryana.. After completion graduation from Government College, Rohtak joined LLB J.V.Jain College, Saharapur (Uttar Pradesh), and joined the legal profession in June, 1978. Intially practiced at Rohtak for a decade in different fields of law, mainly on criminal side besides dealing with the cases under the Motor Vehicles Act and Hindu Marriage Act. Thereafter, he shifted to Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh in the year of 1988. Justice Virender Singh served for two tenures as Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, from May 1995 to May 1996 and July 1996 to January 1999 and was elevated as Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on July 2, 2002.
