Hari Om charges Centre for making common cause with subversives
4/12/2007 2:22:11 PM
Jammu April 12
State Unit of BJP today accused Congress led UPA Government at the Centre of making common cause with subversives and endangering the national security and delicate religio-social fabric. Viewing it a serious threat, the Party felt, ‘that if not abandoned immediately, it would surely weaken the country and subvert the whole Indian State under the guise of fake secularism.’
The Party spokesman and Vice President Prof Hari Om said that ‘what has made the BJP to adopt such a view is the manner in which the UPA Government has allowed its own coalition partners, including the PDP,PDF and the main opposition NC to advocate break- India and communal solutions, such as demilitarization and self rule’.
He was reacting to the statements emanating from New Delhi and given by the PDP, the PDF and NC.
‘No State worth the name would ever allow the law makers to preach sedition or air views which are aimed at dividing the country on caste and communal lines’, he said and added that ‘it is unfortunate that the Congress led Government at the Centre is not only watching all these subversive activities as mute spectator but also giving overt and covert support to what certain outfits have been doing to unsettle everything to accomplish their evil designs’..
He said the way the Central government has been handling Kashmir, protagonists of self rule, autonomy, Kashmiri separatists and Pakistan has sent weak signals and the result is that the anti national forces are making optimum use of the weaknesses of the Union government thus causing irreparable damage to the vital national interests and jeopardizing the legitimate rights and interests of the minorities in Jammu and Kashmir.
The powers that be in New Delhi, he said ‘should sit up to take stock of damage they have already done and work out a definite strategy to retrieve the situation, he observed.
