Significantly, the people's socio economic status is also on the rise. 'Under Op Sadbhavana' Army's contribution towards upliftment of common man's problems has been immense. Education, medical care, sanitation, community development and communications have been certain important aspects of army's contribution. Added to the fact, with the deployment of Army in far flung areas, the army's contribution is visible in the rural belts where the majority of deprived strata of society reside. The rural belt of the state has been transformed significantly through these activities. 10 Sikh (Dashmesh) Bn with a history of more than four decades is endeavoring to continue with their contribution under 'Op Sadbhavna'. The unit has earmarked up liftment of education and medical facilities as their key result areas in their area and has conducted medical camp at Laroka yesterday with the assistance of civil administration and concerned medical authorities. Availability of modern medicines especially pediatric and communicable diseases free of cost was a boon for the local population. The function conducted under the aegis of Col Ajai Sharma, Commanding Officer was presided by Col RC Patial, Sena Medal and Deputy Commander. The event was also attended by BMO, Naushera Dr Manjit Singh. The unit expressed their gratitude to the civil administration and local population for making the event a success.
