Jammu, Apr 30: A 12 members team including 3 girls of Jammu division under the aegis of Mountaineering Association of J&K left today for Bhaderwah to attend Basic Course in Mountaineering being organized by Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM&WS), Pahalgam. Ram Khajuria, General Secretary and Yogeshwar Kumar, Vice President of Mountaineering Association of J&K, Rahul Sharma, Director, Sprawlng Buds School, Chinore and Navneet Gupta, Secretary Snow Trail Mountaineers, Jammu were present on send off occasion here today. "Shawetica Khajuria, Shilpa Charak, Aman Arora and Ambreen Fatima of Jammu district, Vikrant Slathia, Sahil Slathia, Manik Slathia and Shubam Slathia of Samba district; and Anish Sharma, Yasser Hamid, Varun Lasotra, and Gulair Singh of Reasi District left for Bhaderwah here today, it added. As per association spokesperson members from the Kashmir division shall also reach Bhaderwah today and all the 24 members have been sponsored by J&K State Sports Council for their 26 days course to hone the sports talent within the young sportspersons of state. "The 26 day course shall be conducted by the Institute from May1-26 at Bhaderwah and Pahalgam, statement said adding, "during the course the trainees shall undergo physical conditioning, toughening up exercises and extensive rock climbing, besides the basic techniques of snow and ice craft and rock climbing at high altitude. |
