Jammu, Apr 30: Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today flays administration of Jammu University (JU), for its failure to initiate action against HOD of Dogri Department of JU, who were involved in missing of M. Phill answer scripts and violation of rules and regulations in answer scripts were checked without proper coding.
Addressing the media person here today, University Unit President of JYF Pawan Sharma said that the answer scripts were mysteriously recovered by Dogri department though post, only after five days of FIR's registration in Feb 2014.
He further said that it was totally unfair and a cruel joke with the career of M.Phill scholars, ten answer sheets of M. Phill students of Dogri department went missing mysteriously in Nov 2013 and despite the department making strenuous efforts, they could not be traced.
Criticizing the working of JU authorities, he further said that after missing of answer scripts, the JU authorities had removed Head of the Department of Dogri, but after few hours, same was reappointed.
"On February 18, HOD was removed but bending before the pressure, HOD was reappointed, which was totally unfair", he said, adding that inspite of ample evidences about the case, nothing has been done by authorities and the culprits were still roaming scot free.
"Moreover, the answer scripts of Ist semester MA Dogri were evaluated by a contractual lecturer of Dogri department, who had joined only 6 months back", he alleged, adding that it was also came to fore that the answer scripts were checked without any code, which was in brazen violation of norms. Lamenting the attitude of Jammu University authorities, he further said, how it could be possible that a person, who was a contractual lecturer and was also taking improvement papers, was appointed as evaluator. "It seemed that Dogri department authorities were trying to save the skin of some officials and also other officials who were involved in the misplacement of answer scripts", he alleged.
He appealed Chancellor of Jammu University, NN Vohra to personally intervene in the matter and take strict action against HOD Dogri and contractual lecturer. Among those who were present in the protest included, Vijay Sharma, Tarvej Ahmed, Mohd Aamer, Salim, Rashid Choudhary, and others. |
