SAMBA, Apr 30 : Shiv Sena workers held protest against the Samba administration in the front of the Tehsil Office for delay to provide cheques to the rain affected people. The protestors led by Ramesh Gupta, district president Shiv Sena , told that government had allowed the people of some rain affected areas for the compensation through cheque of Rs 1900 to per family, which has yet not been received . Leveling allegations , he said that the people actually deserved the compensation had to pay the money to the patwari and other staff to get their cheques. He also said that the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar were also not present on their chairs when protest was held. Meanwhile, Tehsildar Samba Kulbushan Khajuria when contacted refuted the allegations. He said that delay is caused owing to enforcement of code of conduct. Further refuting allegations of corruption, he said that since the cheques are not being prepared therefore, question of corruption by his junior staff is hard to digest. Responding to other question, the tehsildar said that he and his Naib were not present on the chair when the protest was held as they were attending the official meeting, adding, instead of holding protest the gentleman should have contacted him over phone to get redressal of the grievances |
