Retirees deprived of dues
5/1/2014 12:37:07 AM

Reasi, Apr 30: Since the last quarter of 2013 there is a great scarcity of the required amount of funds in different heads i.e. GPO, CPO, GPF etc. at Reasi treasury with the result the govt. employees who have been retired after the last quarter of 2013 are suffering badly due to the non-payment of pension benefits i.e. retirement gratuity, commuted pension, GPF etc.
Whereas their pension cases duly sanctioned by the Accountant General (AG) are lying pending in the treasury. It is very regrettable that Director General (DG) accounts and treasuries J&K, Director Accounts and treasuries Jammu and other concerned authorities don't pay attention towards the problem of retired employees.
On the other hand, since Dec-2013 corers of rupees have been released and operated under other different heads like salary etc. but the retired employs have been ignored, their domestic as well as health problems are being multiplied due to the non-payment of their dues. If it persists on, the retied employees shell unanimously knock the court against the defaulters for justices.
