| Dimple alleges Cong-NC backstabs people of Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 30: Alleging backstabbing the people of Jammu for mitigating water scarcity, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activist today staged protest and blocked the Janipur- Amphalla road demanding early implantation of Chinab Water Lifting Project of Akhnoor to resolve the water scarcity in old Jammu city and its adjoining areas. Addressing the protestors Sunil Dimple president JWAM alleged the that the Omar Abdullah Govt- Congress has backstabbed the people of Jammu by not implementing the much awaited Chinab Water Supply Project and putting same in the cold storage. Dimple demanded CBI Inquiry of the Chinab water project. He alleged the people are facing acute sacristy of the drinking water as the PHE system in Jammu city has collapsed in the six months. He urged people not to pay the water rent unless the Govt takes appropriate decision in this regard. Dimple also demanded to install the fresh new Receiving Station of 50 MVA at Janipur to overcome the load problem and to curtail power cuts. Sunil Dimple demanded chief minister PDD minister to exempt all the surcharges and the service duty charges on the power tariff bills. Sunil Dimple said the Congress Party and national conference has badly discriminated the people Of the Jammu region and particularly the winter capital. He also said indefinite agitation now will continue from today to expose the misdeeds of the National Conference and the Congress and the BJP also for betraying people of the Jammu region. Ram Kapoor, Randhier Singh Bali, BL Sahni, Ashok Koul, Harbans Todon, Dr Sahil Pandoh, Vinod Suri, Ramesh Chander Kohli, Kulwant sharma, Bansi Lal and many others participated in this protest. |
