Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 30: National Secular Forum (NSF) today strongly criticized Jammu and Kashmir Police department, which has so far failed to nab the thieves, who had stolen the tyres of car of JURSEA president, in November 2013 and answer scripts of M.Phill students of Dogri department.
Addressing media persons here today, NSF city chairman Ajaz Shah, while lambasting the police authorities said that six months back, an FIR was lodged against some unknown persons, for stealing tyres of the car of JURSEA president, from outside Nehru hostel.
"Another FIR was also registered by Jammu University authorities, against some unknown persons for stealing answer scripts of M.Phill students of Dogri department. The answer scripts were later found around a week back, but so far the culprits, which had orchestrated the entire drama are still running free", he said.
He said that in the second case, ten answer scripts of M.Phill students of Dogri department went missing mysteriously and despite the department making strenuous efforts, they could not be traced. He also said that the return of missing answer scripts led to University asking the police to intensify the probe and nail the culprits. All members in one voice criticized the police authorities and made it clear that if Police would not nab the culprits, they would start an agitation in coming days.
They also appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to personally intervene and directed the higher Police officials to take action against concerned Police officials, who were still mum over the issue.Among those who were present in the press conference included, PP Singh, Qayoom Malik, Amit Salgotra, Anees Charak, Javed Iqbal, Narinder Singh, and others.
