Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 30: PDP gained stronger ground in Kakakote of Rajouri with joining of Er A G Kohli and others in an impressive function organized in presence of PDP patron Mufti Mohd Syed on the other day. Kohli was felicitated by Peer Muzafar Hussian Shah (Baji Sahib) & Chief Patron PDP Mufti Mohd Sayeed who garlanded him.
"Senior congress leader Er A G Kohli felt neglected against ex MLA Ashok Sharma and of late the Congress chief Saif-ud-Din Soz was seen as giving un- due importance to Sharma and thereby lack of representation and neglect of committed worker are likely reason which led to break away of Er. A.G. Kohli and other from congress," a statement said
The statement further added that an overwhelming response from PDP supporters was witnessed during the joining of Er Kohli wherein thousands people had gathered in Rajouri and even from far-flung areas of Kalakote.
'And it was observed that during the current polling for Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha Seat, a good number of votes went in favour of PDP from kalakote of Rajouri, it said.
The statement also maintained that Congress base is fast disintegrating in Rajouri and Poonch district particularly in the hilly areas due to dented image of Congress due to neglect of committed workers and no sign of development for number of years."
"And due to this reason, the statement said and added, "the District Congress President Ch Salam Din alonghwith hundreds of people joined the PDP. Pertinently Ch Salam Din is a person who held the Congress flag during peak militancy with late Rajesh Pilot in valley in particular."
