| NFADE to extend agitation | | | Early Times Reporter

A dharna was organized in front of main gate of Akashvani and Doordarshan (NFADE) National Federation of Akashvani and Doordarshan Employees here today. This dharna is being held by NFADE throughout the country and in J&K State on the same day.
As per the release, the dharna is being held throughout the country to save the services of the employees of Radio and Doordarshan, who are demanding necessary amendments in the Prasar Bharati Act including the scrapping of the section 11.
As on date, the employees said that the Prasar Bharati is bankrupt having no finances and the future of the employees is at stake if the employees are transferred to Prasar Bharati.
The employees on dharna were addressed by MLA, National Conference, Mubarak Gul, Director, Doordarshan/ Radio Kashmir, Jammu, Superintending Engineer, RKJ, Vijay Kumar Sharma, State Co-ordinator Kamal Krishan, Joint Co-ordinator, Rajesh Gupta, State Secretary, M.L. Kharoo, Unit Secretary, A.K. Handoo and others. Mubarak ul while addressing the employees extended full support to NFADE, said that the dharna by the employees of Radio and Doordarshan is genuine and fully justified.
The agitation is likely to be intensified, if the steps to safeguard the interest of the employees is not taken in time.
