BJP GAINING GROUND IN KASHMIR VALLEY: KHAJURIA

JAMMU, APRIL 12
BJP State President Ashok Khajuria on Wednesday said that the footing of the party in Kashmir is getting firm day by day and Kashmir unit has shown tremendous progress by carving a niche for itself in the valley.
Khajuria made this statement here today while chairing a meeting of Office Bearers and Executive members of prominent activists of Kashmir Province.
Addressing partymen Khajuria said, “under the dynamic leadership of Sofi Yousuf and under his guidance the Kashmir unit has shown tremendous progress and is on the path of progress there. He said these are good signs for the party that footing of the party in Kashmir is getting firm day by day.
Provincial President Sofi Yousuf, had come to Jammu along with party workers from different parts of the valley to felicitate the State President and apprise him of the party activities being undertaken in valley during the last three months.

Speaking on the occasion Sofi Yousuf, while addressing these leaders, said the party is having grip at the grass roots level in the valley as the people there are fed up with the National conference, PDP and Congress and they are in mood of a change. He declared that the party shall be able to gain 10 seats in the next elections and the day will not be far away when we shall have the reigns of the government of the state.
Sofi invited Ashok Khajuria to visit Kashmir valley to observe the situation there in the month of April and accordingly take further decisions.

BJP State General Secretary Ajay Jamwal also addressed the meeting and spoke on the organizational set up of the party. Party MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma also addressed the meeting.
The main leaders from the valley who attended meeting included Vice-president Mohd. Ashraf Azad, General Secretary Mohd. Maqbool War, Spokesperson Sheikh Abdul Rashid, President Mahila Morcha Miss Haleema, Secretary Mushtaq Noorabadi and others.
