Samba, May 8:To strengthen Police-public relationship, a Police public meeting was held by District Police Samba at Police Station Bari-Brahmana with the prominent citizens of Bari-Brahmna town. In the meeting the representatives of Bari-Brahmana Industrial Association, representatives of Beopar Mandal Bari-Brahmna, Retired Officers, Sarpanches & Panches and other citizens which was chaired by Anil Magotra, SP Samba, Shazaad Salaria, SDPO Bari-Brahmana, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh SHO P/S Bari-Brahmana were present on the occasion. The officers patiently heard the problems, highlighted by all the participants and assured full co-operation on traffic regulations at the Smailpur Chowk and action against the anti social elements, drug peddlers, eve teasers, traffic violators, encroachment by rehriwalas from old bazaar, Bari-Brahmana, bovine smugglers and other organized crimes on priority. The aim and object of the meeting was to discuss/acquaint with the problems of the inhabitants of the area. The thrust of the meet was to prevent crime, reduce conflict and give a sense of involvement to the common man. The participants were exhorted to help police in eradicating the social evils of the society by way of sharing correct and timely information to police. A large number of people hailing from all walks of life and almost from all the villages under the jurisdiction of Sub-Division Bari-Brahmna attended the meeting. They welcomed the initiative taken by SP Samba to hear them on spot by holding such meeting. |
