ARTO Reasi challans 15 vehicles, collects Rs 2000 as fine

REASI, May 8: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajesh Gupta during a day long drive against traffic violations in Katra penalized 12 vehicles plying on various routes in Katra for various traffic violations and collected a fine of Rs 2000 from traffic violators.
During the drive, ARTO Gupta was accompanied by MVD Inspector Vikas Shrivats and other staff of ARTO, Reasi.
On the occasion, Gupta made people aware about the traffic norms and urged the transporters to play its active part in minimizing the frequent accidents.
He also informed the people about their duties while traveling and said that it was also the prime duty of the common citizen to raise his voice against the overloading and use of mobile phones by the drivers at the time of driving.
ARTO Gupta also issued stern warning to the drivers of passenger vehicle and urged them to strictly adhere to the traffic rules to avoid any action from the department.
