JAMMU, May 8: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No.1 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu today organized Annual Day function at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University, Jammu.
Principal T R Choudhary while presenting Annual Report of the Vidyalaya, highlighted the achievements in the field of academics and co-curricular activities at various levels. On the occasion, the students recited Sanskrit Shalokas while they also presented a Ganesha Vandana.
A cultural programme, comprising of patriotic songs, dance, Krishan Avtar, folk dance, Nari Shakti item, Western Dance and Bhangra, was presented by the students.
Meritorious students in different fields of activities, as well achievers of CBSE Exams with Grade A and teachers with excellence in their performance in education and other fields were honoured on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, A V L J Rao, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region appreciated the efforts made by the students to put up a very good show of cultural items with the essence of values.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Shantmanu expressed his happiness that Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Jammu is a popular institution in the city and contributing a lot in the field of education. He appreciated the achievements of students and staff of KV No.1, Jammu. He congratulated the awardees and expected that they will inspire the others to follow them.
The teachers who were felicitated include. Sandesh Bhat, TGT (Maths) for receiving KVS Innovation & Experimentation Award by KVS at New Delhi; Rajni Baliya, PRT for receiving KVS National Incentive Award by KVS at New Delhi; Shashi Prabha, PRT and Sunil Kumar TGT (P&HE), for getting KVS Regional Incentive Awards by KVS Jammu Region, at Jammu. |
