| SRTC VRS employees stage protest, demand release of dues | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 8: In protest against the delay in clearing the pending cases of VRS employees, the JKSRTC VRS Union staged a demonstration outside Press Club of Jammu under the leadership of its presdidnt Dev Raj Bali and General Secretary Surinder Singh. The protesters strongly criticized the behaviour, conduct and work of the J&K Finance Department and Transport Higher Authorities towards the VRS/GHS employees as these authorities totally failed in solving the cases of VRS/GHS employees in clear violation of the order No.218-F dated 2007.As the case for due benefits of the VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC is lingering for the last more than 4 years and dues such as COLA arrears, Leave Salary, Gratuity ex-gratia grant pending bills to the tune of Rs 30,16,10,673 are lying for the last 4 years in the Finance Department. The demonstrators alleged that J&K SRTC and Finance Department are hell bent to harass the VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC. VRS/GHS employees are giving the dharnas and demonstrations for the last 4 years for their legitimate dues but Finance Deptt and J&K SRTC do not care at all and VRS/GHS employees and their families are suffering badly. |
