| NMC seeks early release of 10% DA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8: Emphasizing on the need for early release of 10% DA due from January last, President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to the State Government to release the same installment of DA in favor of its employees and pensioners, to neutralize the affect of inflation and price hike as the aid DA installment has already been released by the Govt. of Haryana to its employees and pensioners yesterday during the model code of conduct. "There is a need for early release of 10 percent DA due from January last, NMC appeal to the state government to take immediate decision in this regard," Shastri said while addressing a workers' rally at Village Marh in Jammu District. He said DA was part of salary and routine financial matter and so there should be no hitch in release of pending installment adding that model code of conduct does not bearing on it, when the election of all the six seats of Lok Sabha is already over in J&K State. Demanding early release of pending wages of daily-rated workers in various departments of the state government, he said these wagers were facing serious financial hardships as their services had not been regularized for the last many years nor were they getting their wages regularly. |
