| NSF demands audit of Red Cross Society | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8:National Secular Forum (NSF) today appealed to Governor NN Vohra to conduct audit of last five years of Red Cross Society in Jammu region. Addressing the media person here today, President NSF Sukhdev Singh alleged Red Cross Society in Jammu region for its none functioning and worsening with in past years. He said, "With the time the working of Red Cross society should be improved but it is sad state of affairs that instead of collecting funds in huge amount the society is not doing any thing for needy students while helping the children of their blue eyed personalities. The funds collected by Society are not being in genuine way". He further said that Red Cross societies have become a hub of retired teachers who are being appointed on basis of favoritism and corruption. They are sitting idle instead of putting some real efforts for improvement of student community. He said that The functions organized by Red cross society is only for the publicity of the govt. and the officer and Minister invited in the function of Red cross society are there own dear once. The sachems of Red Cross in present time are only available in city area but not in the far flung areas. The benefits of Red Cross society not getting to the common people and whole on the money to spend on the Red Cross society is totally waste full. |
