SAMBA, May 10: An impressive Shoba Yatra of Bhagwan Parshuram was taken out here today. Amid scorching heat, thousands of devotes participated in the Shoba Yatra which took off from Brahmin Sabha Main Bazaar, Chohata Chowk. On the occasion, MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest. The Yatra was led by Bhagwan Parshuram Brigade on motor cycles. The idol of Bhagwan Parshuram was taken in a well decorated Palki. Various tableaux depicting different aspects of Bhagwan Parshuram's life also formed the part of the Shoba Yatra. Several political and non-political organizations also participated in the yatra. The devotees including men, women and children were singing bhajans in praise of Bhagwan Parshuram en route. Hundreds of devotees attired in colourful costumes were also dancing to the beating of drums and bursting crackers to mark the occasion. The yatra passed via main bazaar, Pacca Danga, Hari Singh Chowk, Link Road, National Highway Samba and culminated back at Samba Fort. People en route who had formed bee lines showered flowers petals on Shoba Yatra and paid obeisance to Bhagwan Parshuram. |
