| Governor visits Tulip Garden | | | SRINAGAR, APRIL 17 Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha today visited the Asia’s sprawling tulip garden on the banks of serene Dal Lake in Srinagar and interacted with tourists and children who have been thronging in large numbers to Sirajbagh to have a look at this magnificent attraction. Lady Governor Mrs Premini Sinha and Principal Secretary to Governor Dr Arun Kumar also accompanied the Governor. The mood in the garden was upbeat with young children, divine smiles on their faces, roaming around the garden fully bloomed with colorful tulips, reminding of yesteryears blockbuster ‘Silsila’, which of course was shot on foreign locale in Holland. The vast expanse of Srinagar has, of course, the exotic varieties of tulips imported from Holland. Besides being a major attraction for tourists, the garden has overnight become a domestic name in Kashmir.
