| Arnas inhabitants to launch stir for tehsil status | | | Jammu | Apr 17
The activists of All Parties Development Committee, block Arnas of Tehsil Mahore have decided to sit on hunger strike on 25th of this month.
According to a handout, a meeting in this regard was held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Raj Dubey that was attended among others by the representatives of various political parties. The hunger strike is against the negative attitude of the govt. for not granting tehsil status to Arnas.
Dubey informed the meeting that the demand in this regard was approved in district development board meeting hold on April 26, last year, even the Chief Minister also had given assurance in state legislature.
The meeting was also told that the recommendation of distt. development board for up-grading the High School, Salal to the level of 10+2 have not been implemented, with the result most of the students give up their studies as they have than 20 Kms away from Sald.
