| Ousted Excise employees protest enters 77th day | | |

The protest demonstration by the ousted class IV employees of Excise and Commercial Tax continued for the 77th consecutive day here today. The protestors are demanding their absorption as agreed to by the Chief Minister earlier.
Several employees’ leaders, including Girdhari Lal Chanda, S B Bakshi and senior vice President of the Class IV Employees Union Mohammed Abkar, addressed the protestors and stressed for early absorption of the ousted employees and appealed the Chief Minister to reconsider their case on humanitarian grounds and issue orders for their permanent adjustment in the department.
