| Jawan commits suicide in Rajouri | | |

Another soldier posted with Rashtriya Rifle (RR), the main counter insurgency force deployed in the state ended his life after shooting himself with his service rifle in Rajouri border district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
With this fresh incident, the number of the distress deaths within Armed Forces deployed in militancy infested areas has gone high.
Since 2002, over 400 soldiers have killed themselves, while about 100 died after being shot by their colleagues.
Defense spokesman, Col Goswami when contacted said that a 20-RR Jawan committed suicide with his service rifle at company Headquarters in Rajouri. The sources have identified the deceased as Sepoy R K Singh.
The motive behind the suicide was not immediately known. However, sources said that
the jawan had returned from home three days ago. The number of suicides among Security forces has gone high with zero out come of investigation ordered by army authorities in past.
