Body recovered, man electrocuted

Police today fished out body of a youth from river Jhelum at Pamposh Colony Noorbagh, while a man was electrocuted at Kalmoona area of Kashmir.
The deceased have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Khan 30, son of Ghulam Ahmed of Zainakadal. Official sources said that some locals spotted the body flouting in the river Jhelum early today morning and informed the police. The Body was later fished out by a party from Noorbagh police station.
This is the third body recovered along the Jhelum River in Srinagar city during last forty eight hours. Yesterday two bodies were recovered from Rajbagh. Police has initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death.
Meanwhile, one Nazir Ahmad Malik 28, son of Mohammad Sultan, resident of Kalmoona died due to electric shock. Police sources said that the youth was repairing 11000 KV line at Kalmoona, Police has registered a case in this regard.
