| Thunderstorm, showers likely in next 24 hrs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 17 : Temperature in Jammu is hovering around 35 degrees Celsius today with the weatherman predicting thunderstorm and showers in next 24 hours across the region. "The temperature in the months of May and June may remain moderate and fluctuate between 35 degrees and 40 degrees," a Met official said. He said so far only on May 1, Jammu recorded highest 40.3 degrees temperature. "As compared to previous year, this year, the temperature may touch maximum 43 degrees." He said in the next 24-hours, thunderstorm and showers can further dip the temperature, which at present is 36 degrees. The official added that monsoon is also likely to hit Jammu and Kashmir by first week of July thus giving respite from the scorching heat. |
