Joy knew no bounds for specially-abled Kanu on getting Jaipur foot

Jammu, May 17: Defying all wordily hurdles, the specially-abled child Ms Kanu has rejoicing moments when she got artificial limbs from world famous Jaipur foot during a artificial limb distribution camp held here today
Pertinently Kanu Raina, 11 years old, was born with only right leg, while the left leg was partial i.e. till knee and both arms strangely till half. Taking this physical handicappedness as destined for her, the little girl braved all hurdles in her life at tender age.
The little Kanu who had braved all odds in her life at tender age and had learnt to take on various challenges in her own way but today she has some moments to celebrate after getting a helping hand to lessen her ordeals in shape of artificial limb.
She received this helping hand during a 'free artificial limb camp' organized by Viklang Chhatra Trust at Home where world famous Jaipur Foot were provided to 150 handicapped victims. And Ms Kanu was also fitted with left leg in this Free Artificial Foot Camp.
"Soon after getting the limb fitted, she jumped to celebrate the moments and started dancing to rejoice the happiest moments of her life, a spokesperson from Home said adding, "she also tried to climb stairs within the home to accept another challenge in her life."
Here it needs to mention that defying all odds this little girl- an inmate of the Home for Handicapped at Udheywala since last 3 years exhibited his latent skills including sports activities. In recent past Ms Kanu participated in National Olympic Games for handicapped held at Ajmer from December 14-20 last year.
Spokesperson said, "Ms Kanu was the member of 15 specially-abled children team from Home for Handicapped Udheywala, Bohri, Jammu that under the guidance of Smt Neena Rishi, the Warden of the Home participated in these games."
"Braving the odds in her life which for others seems to be cruel for her but she chose to regard the happening as they came to her and this brave girl participated in the 100 mtr Race event and clinched Gold Medal, the said further adding, "this 15 member specially-abled team from Jammu bagged 02 Gold, 04 Silver and 06 Bronze which is a unique feat for these children having a different world."
In this tough world where life for normal persons is hard, this brave girl is an inspiration for us all, it added.
