| NC pays tributes to Bali on death anniversary | | | Jammu April 18 National Conference today offered floral tributes to senior party leader Bodh Raj Bali on the fourth death anniversary of the late party veteran who also held the position of provincial president. A large number of party activists under the chairmanship of Ajay Sadhotra party’s provincial president participated in the ceremony at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan. Paying rich tributes to the late leader, Sadhotra recalled the devoted and committed contributions by the late soul to consolidate it roots and strengthening of party at grass root level. Sadhotra also described the departed soul as a popular leader of masses who always helped the poor and needy especially those in distress. In the end Party Provincial President, Sadhotra exhorted the gathering to strengthen the hands of the party leadership i.e. patron Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah the party president by spreading the message of the party in every nook and corner of the state. He also said that people have realized that winds have changed in recent scenario and they are looking with hopes and aspirations towards national Conference that had brought its commitments to the ground realities. In the on set of the memorial ceremony, Ajay Sadhotra Provincial President NC Jammu accompanied with party MLAs and other senior party leaders garlanded the portrait of the departed leaders and offered flower petals to express reverence and regards to the late soul. Dr Chaman Lal, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and S A Bhukhari all MLAs and senior leaders of the party also paid floral tributes to the departed leaders on his 4th death anniversary and recalled their association with him. They recalled him as a selfless soul that has always worked for the cause of the people of state irrespective to region and religion. They also underlined that he was popular among people and party cadre for his expertise in politics and zeal and enthusiasm to work for the party even at the later days of his life. Earlier Chander Mohan Sharma district president Jammu (Urban) in his tributal address recalled his association with senior late leader who always was ready to help the poor and the needy. Sharma recalling the generosity and humbleness of the departed NC leader said that he never had hesitated to help and allocate funds for the development of areas without any second thought. Among others who paid their tributes to the late party leader included Rattan Lal Gupta senior leader of the party, Bimla Luthra Ex-MLA and president women wing and other cadres of the party.
