PDP Campaign is Politically Motivated: CONG
4/18/2007 11:54:37 PM
Jammu, April 18
Reacting sharply to the fresh round of hate campaign unleashed by the PDP leadership targeting their own coalition government for sluggish pace of developmental works initiated in 2002 in the state, state unit of the congress party hit out saying that Ghulam Nabi Azad lead coalition government is concentrating more on all round development of the state than indulging in politics of emotional blackmail.
Talking to Kashmir Independent Press here today Congress spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that politics of exploitation and emotional black mail is not on the agenda of the Azad lead coalition government adding that it is hollow campaign by the PDP leadership and is politically motivated and baseless.
Cong spokesperson said ever since GhulamNabi Azad took charge of the affairs of the state he has been working round the clock for the overall and equitable development of all three regions in the state.
He said he is the first chief Minister who focused his attention on improving work culture in the state and labored hard to bring the jammed wheels of bureaucracy back on track besides checking rampant corruption.
Referring to the recent statements of PDP leadership including that of PDP patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti ,Sharma said that he fail to understand the motivation behind making such statements when PDP is part and parcel of the coalition govt.
He said if a PDP leadership is saying that pace of developmental works were witnessing deceleration they should also share the blame as they are part and parcel of the state government. Why are they running from their responsibility and putting the blams on the shoulders of their coalitin partners.
" People are watching and reviewing performance of each political party and at the right time they will give their verdict", Sharma said adding that only forthcoming assembly elections would settle the debate which political party worked for the welfare of the people.(
