Govt to ensure adequate facilities to Yatris: DDC Anantnag

Anantnag, April 18
To review the arrangements with regard to Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2007 a joint meeting of district administration and security agencies was organized here today with District Development Commissioner, Mr. G.A. Peer in chair.
It was decided in the meeting that adequate quantity of rice, flour, sugar, cooking gas, k-oil and fire wood beside medicare and safe drinking water facilities would be provided to the yatries.
The meeting also decided that the Yatries would be provided residential facilities along with adequate security at every halting stage. Public Address Systems would be installed at Nunwun, Pahalgam, Chandanwari, Sheeshnag, Panjtarni and at the cave by the Information and Public Relations department.
The District Development Commissioner directed the concerned officers to formulate an action plan for Yatra arrangements immediately and submit it to his office. He also directed the officers and functionaries being deployed for Yatra duty to submit two copies of passport size photographs for Yatra card.
