Qazi Afzal distributed cheques worth Rs.

Ganderbal, April 18
Government is taking measures to rehabilitate militancy affected persons and to provide necessary succour to them.
This was stated by Minister for Forest and Urban Development, Qazi Mohammad Afzal while addressing a function organized by Social Welfare department at Ganderbal today. The Minister distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 9.10 lakh under National Family Benefit Scheme in favour of 91 widows of Ganderbal Tehsil.
He hoped that composite dialogue process between India and Pakistan would be harbinger of peace and prosperity for the entire sub-continent.
Qazi Mohammad Afzal instructed the officers of Social Welfare department to conduct survey for identifying destitutes, widows and other militancy affected persons in the district so that financial assistance is provided to them.
The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Mr. G.N. Bodha, District Social Welfare officer, Srinagar and other officers attended the function.
