| Rs. 428.85 crore earmarked for credit action plan | | | Srinagar, April 18 The Credit Action Plan for Srinagar district for the current fiscal has been approved at Rs 428.85 crore. Of this, Rs 179 crore have been earmarked for priority sector to set up 9197 income generating units while under non- priority sector 1400 lucrative units are to be established with a credit facility of Rs 280 crore. Decision to this effect was taken at a Lead Bank District Consultative Committee meeting held here today with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Mr Sharif-ud- Din in chair. The meeting was attended by Managers Lead Bank, Srinagar representatives of RBI, SBI, NABARD and various banks besides officers of various departments. For poverty, alleviation and employment generation schemes 3250 income generating units with a credit facility of Rs 36 crore are targeted to be set up during the current financial year. Under agriculture and allied sectors 2694 profit units while under Trade and services sector 6600 units with a credit facility of Rs 178 crore are being established. Receiving last year’s achievements under various sectors, it was informed that 31991 units with a credit facility 585 crore were established in the district.
