BJP to launch awareness campaign against demilitarization

Jammu April 19
Launching a scathing attack on those who are harping to the tunes of demilitarization in the state, the state president Bhartiya Janta Party Ashok Khajuria said BJP would not tolerate such demand and fight tooth and nail for the security and integrity of the nation by launching a mass campaign.
Addressing the women workers of the party during one day Working Committee meeting of women wing, Khajuria said, “People are confused over the statements coming from various quarters. “While the Chief Minister, army seniors and defence ministry say no to reduction of troops, at the same time centre constitutes three committees to take up the demand reiterated by PDP leadership.” State BJP president also cautioned the state and Congress led UPA government on this issue and asked not to concede to this demand projected by the PDP until and unless militancy is completely wiped out from state. He also ridiculed the remarks from PDP president Mehbooba Mufti about advocating for the disbanding the Village Defence Committees that has been playing significant role in creating sense of security among the people in higher reaches since the militancy erupted in state.
Speaking on this occasion he also said that state government has failed to dole rights to the women. ‘They are deprived of the said 33% reservation in political spheres and earlier even were deprived from their right on parental property after marriage in state, he said.
To start with the programme Suresh Jamwal state vice president Mahila Morcha BJP in her address highlighted the plight of women in the society and flayed the UPA govt. for failing to control shooting prices of essential commodities that indirectly has affected the life of women across the nation.
Earlier Usha Choudary in her welcome address gave a comprehensive detail of the plights of women including negating them from 33% reservation in political circles, a evils like dowry and female foeticide in male chauvinism. Others who addressed this one day long Working Committee Meet were Ajay Jamwal state general secretary BJP, Mamta Singh, Sakia Bano, Chander Kanta Sharma (all vice presidents Mahila Morcha), Raj Rani Jamwal general secretary of the Morcha, secretaries and the other executive cadres of the Mahila Morcha.
The meeting also observed two minutes silence to condole the sad demise of the Surekha Choudary the former president BJP Mahila Morcha and prayed for the eternal peace to the late soul.
