Justice Virender Singh today took oath of office as Judge of Jammu and Kashmir High Court in a simple but impressive function held here at High Court Complex.
Acting Chief Justice N.A.Kakru administered oath of office to him.
Earlier, Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar, Registrar General of the High Court read out the Notification received from Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India. He also read the letter of authorization issued by His Excellency the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir authorizing the acting Chief Justice to administer oath to the new judge.
Besides Justice Nirmal Singh, Justice Y. P. Nargotra, Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir, Hon’ble Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani, Justice J. P. Singh and A. H. Naik, Advocate General the function was also attended by retired Judges of the High Court, Commissioner/ Secretary Law, Judicial officers of the district Jammu, Bar Members, Advocates and staff members of the High Court.
